Each year 60 players get drafted to the NBA—and, in 2023, Shy Odom hopes to be one of them.
Of course, getting to the NBA is no easy feat and to make it Shy needs to be confident in his body’s ability to perform and recover at the highest level.
To give himself the best possible edge, Shy has been working with TB12 Body Coaches since 2018. Now in his senior year of high school, Shy is laser focused on being the best. And TB12 is the perfect partner to get him there.
Shy’s Body Coaches don’t just explain what’s going on in his body—they show him how to train smarter, recover quicker, and prevent injuries. His Body Coaches see his dream too and are by his side on the road to making it happen.
Working on Shy’s pliability has helped his muscles move without restriction, and training with resistance bands has elevated his game. Since what Shy does on the court is what ultimately matters, his Body Coaches work with him on those same functional movements in their sessions. Body Coach Brenden will resist him when he’s handling the ball and tosses the ball to him as he moves through exercises.
Performing at Shy’s level is demanding—physically, mentally, and emotionally. After his freshman year, Shy moved across the country to Southern California to play for Sierra Canyon School, a more competitive team where he plays alongside a number of top prospects. Shy’s Body Coaches provide that listening ear when times get tough, because his mindset can be an advantage as much as his physical skills.
The road to the top is a daunting climb, but Shy’s Body Coaches give him the support and tools he needs to stay focused on the future. TB12 gives him an edge in performance and an edge in recovery. To be one of the best, Shy will need every edge he can get. LFG!
