Meet TB12 Body Coach Matt Denning!
Matt has been a TB12 Body Coach since May of 2016, and is currently the Head Body Coach at our Performance & amp; Recovery Center in Boston. Matt is originally from Weare, New Hampshire, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Exercise Science and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of New England.
Matt is a Licensed Physical Therapist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and a Certified Personal Trainer. Matt grew up playing hockey, played college hockey at the University of New England, and continues to play hockey whenever he can today. He also loves snowboarding, golf, hiking, and just about anything that gets him active and outside.
Matt initially came to TB12 after he was referred by another Body Coach who had gone to the University of New England with him. He came in and met with TB12 Co-Founder Alex Guerrero just before completing his Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy, and as soon as he learned more about the TB12 philosophy he knew this was where he wanted to be. "The most rewarding part of being a Body Coach at TB12 is connecting with my clients and helping them achieve their goals every day," says Matt. "Whether they're coming in for rehabilitation, performance enhancement, or just to improve their wellness, it's extremely fulfilling to make a difference in so many peoples lives on a daily basis."
Matt's clients love his steady demeanor and calm, confident approach to helping them achieve their goals and overcome injury. Matt takes a thoughtful approach to every interaction he has with his clients, and he embraces the challenge of working through new solutions to complex problems. His clients appreciate the confidence he inspires in them – a confidence that often translates to results. "One of Matt's greatest strengths is his demeanor. He doesn't seem like he really gets flustered by anything, so even if he might be a little stressed out by something that he's seeing for the first time, he always has so much confidence in what he's doing," says TB12 Co-Founder Alex Guerrero.
