With Marathon Monday fast approaching, we’re excited to introduce the talented team of runners who will be running the 2022 Boston Marathon on the TB12 Foundation Boston Marathon Team!

The TB12 Foundation educates and inspires underserved athletes to excel both in sports and in life by providing them with access to innovative health and wellness resources that support performance and recovery. Through its work, the TB12 Foundation empowers those who would not normally be able to afford high-quality treatment the opportunity to work one-on-one with TB12 Body Coaches for post-injury rehabilitation or performance-enhancement training.

Starting in 2019, the TB12 Foundation has entered a team into the Boston Marathon each year. Every runner trains hard, pushes their limits, and raises money to support the Foundation.

We are so grateful for the runners who are running the Boston Marathon in support of the TB12 Foundation this year and are excited to see them at the finish line on Boylston Street this April!

Darin Davidson

Darin Davison is a native and resident of Spokane, Washington. He is happily married with four children: two boys, two girls, and one dog. He enjoys spending his free time with family and friends. Some of his favorite hobbies include snow and water skiing, exercising, reading, and learning more about himself. Completing a marathon is one of Darin’s bucket list goals. He feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in the world’s best marathon with a great charity team. He is excited to continue his training and looks forward to meeting his teammates!

Christine Doherty

Christine is a graduate of Simmons College in Boston, MA. She is a pediatric nurse and a passionate endurance athlete. Her journey started as a competitive ice skater turned into a collegiate swimmer and diver. Running wasn't on her radar until she received a postcard in the mail to run a half marathon while raising needed funds and awareness for the American Heart Association (now known as Tedy's Team). It didn't take many miles for her to become hooked.

She finished her first Boston Marathon in 2009 and has kept going since. Christine turned to triathlon in 2014 as a way to stay injury-free with cross-training. She has completed 7 Ironmans and numerous other triathlons. In 2018, Christine was in a devastating bike crash, and her athletic dreams were shattered.

Christine was introduced to TB12 Sports and Recovery Center by Tedy Bruschi in February of 2019. It was there that Christine met her primary Body Coach Chuck who she credits her success to. Coach Chuck provided her with the mental and physical tools to help with her recovery. While she ran the Boston Marathon in 2019, Coach Chuck knew she still had bigger goals. With Coach Chuck's treatment sessions, constant encouragement, and follow-ups, she was able to face her fears and return to the sport she loved. Although it wasn't her best time, Christine is most proud of her 2019 Ironman Arizona race in which she finished in a time of 12 hours and 12 minutes, which symbolizes her TB12 coaches and their support. Christine is forever grateful for the treatments she received at TB12 and is honored to wear their singlet this April and raise funds for the TB12 Foundation.

McKenna Doremus

McKenna is 24 years old and currently lives in Quincy, Massachusetts. She grew up in Westford, MA where she went to high school at Westford Academy. In 2016, she began her 4-year college experience at Westfield State University and played Division III Women’s Basketball. These were some of the best years of her life! After graduating with a degree in Exercise Science in 2020, McKenna moved to Boston and began working for the TB12 Performance and Recovery Center. While starting out part-time, McKenna quickly grew a love and passion for TB12, and she adores health and fitness as a whole. With hard work and dedication, she was promoted to Front-End Manager at TB12’s Foxboro Center. Working there, McKenna has learned about what it means to be the best version of yourself. She learned what it means to be a leader and how much she loves to help people, whether they are her co-workers or clients. TB12 holds a special place in her heart, which is why she is so passionate about the TB12 Foundation. She is extremely proud to say that she will be running the Boston Marathon this April in support of the TB12 Foundation!

Nicholas “Nicky” Ferrara

Nicky is a logistics business owner hailing from Nutley, New Jersey. While logistics is his day job, health and fitness is a passion of his. Nicky became a NASM Personal Trainer in 2018 and continues to help educate friends and family on the mental and physical benefits of a healthy lifestyle. Running, specifically, has always been an outlet for him to keep a personal balance in his life. He also runs a health and wellness program for his employees in New Jersey to ensure personal balance for his entire team. In 2021, Nicky started his goal of running all six world marathons by completing Berlin in September of 2021 and Chicago two weeks later in October. With a rigorous training schedule, using the principles of TB12 fitness has elevated Nicky’s ability to maintain focus, stability, and recovery to tackle the next challenge.

Husband and father of two, Nicky draws his determination from his family to show them anything is possible.

“My goal now, as a father, is to show my kids they should always dream big and reach for the stars because with hard work, they can accomplish anything!”

Colleen Gibbs

Colleen first qualified for the Boston Marathon in October 2001 completing the BayState Marathon. Colleen has been a repeat marathon competitor, running in 2002, 2003 and 2004 with a personal best of 3 hours and 27 minutes.

Colleen ran the marathon during the tragic bombings in 2013, passing the finish line when the explosion went off. Due to those traumatic experiences, she witnessed in 2013, she still struggles with PTSD symptoms. Colleen returns this year after long bouts of using exercise to overcome the mental health impact caused by being so close to the detonated bombs and fearing her family was among the dead. BAA awarded her a bib in 2014 to honor the victims, and she participated despite what she witnessed.

She has a deep passion for supporting TB12’s mission as she has 17 years of service to Georgetown High School as a Physical Education and Wellness Teacher. Colleen was dedicated not only to her students, but also uses sports and what she learned as a Division III All-American center midfielder at Bridgewater State University to help her students. Colleen went on to educate and elevate the athlete experience as coach of the Georgetown Varsity Girls soccer team winning the Division III North State championship in 2009, 2011 and 2014.

Colleen is truly looking forward to race day on April 18th as it’s a time of renewal, joy and freedom, especially while running down Boylston Street to the finish line.

Scott Graham

Scott Graham is an Architect & Custom Home Builder. You may be wondering what inspired him to get involved? Since Scott can remember, it’s always been a dream of his to run the Boston Marathon alongside his dad. It’s hard to believe, but his dad has run the marathon for the past 35 consecutive years! Although Scott may not be a seasoned runner like his dad, he is thrilled to have the opportunity to run alongside his dad while raising donations for the TB12 Foundation.

Brian Lang

Brian is from Los Angeles, California, and is running in the Boston Marathon for the first time. He’s fulfilling a lifelong dream and giving back in the process. He’s been running and doing triathlons for nearly 10 years and loves it. He wants to give a special shoutout to his beagle Nico.

Meghan Lembo

Meghan Lembo is from Southington, Connecticut and currently lives in Boston. Growing up sports were a huge part of her life, and she had the opportunity to play field hockey and ice hockey at Connecticut College. After graduating, Meghan felt a bit lost (athletically) without the strict athletic schedule she was used to. She decided to set a goal to run a marathon. In 2019, she ran the Marine Corps Marathon for her brother who is a Captain in the US Marine Corps. In November of 2020, her 3rd marathon (virtual) was the most painful marathon she has run. This is when Meghan realized something needed to change. She received the TB12 Method book for Christmas that year and she was hooked!

While the physical health benefits from TB12 have been invaluable, she also wants to mention the most important aspect of TB12—the community. She feels a sense of community and caring every time she walks through the doors at TB12 Boston. She is fortunate enough to have the resources to benefit from TB12 as well as athletics (growing up and now) as a whole. Athletics has shaped Meghan’s life and who she is today which is why she wants to run for the TB12 Foundation—to help athletes maximize their health and potential so that they too can benefit from the TB12 Method!

Tara McClain

Tara is 44 and lives in central Florida. Tara is privileged to be a mom of two amazing teens, Lily (18) and Mitchell (16). She owns and operates five Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spas. Her husband John McLain (a name you may recognize from the movie Die Hard…) is an attorney.

She ran her first marathon in Vancouver, Canada almost 23 years ago and has been running ever since. This will be her second Boston Marathon and she’s grateful she gets to run with TB12!

Garrett Morgan

Garrett is a stay-at-home dad raising two sets of twins (ages 9 & 11). In the mornings, Garrett can be found making breakfasts and packing lunches and, in the afternoons, he can be found coaching various sports teams like hockey, baseball, basketball, and soccer. He is a dad, coach, athlete, hiker, runner.

Sports are in his blood—he grew up playing soccer, hockey, and baseball at Berwick Academy in So. Berwick, Maine then at Wheaton College in Norton, MA before transferring and finishing up at Bentley University in Waltham, MA. Garrett traveled to the West Coast for a few years and completed Grad School at Chapman University in Orange, California, before coming back to the East Coast and settling down in Boxford, MA. Sports has always been his way of involving himself in his community and in addition to all his coaching, he manages and plays on a men’s softball team in town and plays in a local men’s soccer league.

When not on the fields or training for a race, you can find Garrett running local trails with his chocolate lab, Sadie. Before accepting the most difficult job he’s ever had the privilege of doing (being a stay-at-home-dad), he worked in the affordable housing industry in Boston and Southern California—playing a role in creating and preserving affordable housing options for families and the elderly in communities across the country.  Boston will be his second marathon (Nashville 2019 being the first) and he is looking forward to sharing this one with his kids, friends, and family who can attend to support him.

Brendan Morrison

Brendan Morrison is a recent graduate of the University of New Hampshire where he went for undergrad and his Master's in Accounting. He was originally born in Hawaii but grew up north of Boston in Peabody, MA.

He now lives in South Boston and works for PwC. When he's not working or training, you can find Brendan going out with friends, finding new places to eat, hanging with his dogs, skiing, or at the beach. He has never been much of a runner, but after watching by the finish line last year, he knew he was up for the challenge. He’s excited for his first marathon, especially with it being in Boston!

David Ostroff

David is a Massachusetts native and currently resides in Arlington, Virginia with his wife and two daughters. When he's not running the trails of Northern Virginia, you can find him working as a Creative Director focused on behavior change and bettering people's lives. This is his first time running the Boston Marathon!

McKenzie Perkes

McKenzie has been running since she was in elementary school and, now, she’s in her last semester of undergrad at BYU-Idaho. While at school, she has had the amazing opportunity to run for her school’s cross-country program—so you could say running is definitely a passion of hers! In April, McKenzie will graduate with her Bachelor’s in Exercise Physiology.

This past summer McKenzie interned at TB12 and worked directly with the Body Coaches. While interning at TB12, she also learned about the foundation and the wonderful opportunities it offered (also the Boston marathon!). She has seen, firsthand, the impact they’ve made in many people’s lives and she wants to contribute. McKenzie is so excited to go out with a “bang” in April, doing something she loves and helping other people reach their goals. She is even more excited to represent the TB12 Foundation!

Michelle Reitz

Michelle grew up in Hopkinton, MA, and Marathon Monday was always a highlight (and a day off from school!). Michelle remembers having the elite runners visit her elementary school and she and her classmates always wished them luck. She is excited to run the streets she grew up riding on and looks forward to the journey to the finish line.

Michelle now lives in Greenville, South Carolina and works as an engineer consultant specifically assisting manufacturing facilities with automation and controls. Michelle moved to South Carolina over a decade ago and loves the weather, being close to the mountains and the beach, and the southern hospitality! She is looking forward to her return home.

Adam Tidd

After 11 years living in Atlanta, Adam is back in Boston. Adam has run over 10 marathons including the Boston Marathon in 2010, New York City Marathon in 2015 and 2018, the Marine Corps Marathon in 2009, and many Disney marathons throughout the years. This year, running the Boston Marathon is deeply personal for Adam.

After a 7-year battle with ALS, his mother passed away in October. She fought till the end and she did it with her sense of humor, laughter, and smile. She was Adam’s biggest cheerleader in life. He knows she will always be with him and will be with him every training mile and every mile from Hopkinton to Boston in April.

Brendan Viselli

Brendan was born and raised in Stoneham, MA, and will be running his first Boston Marathon in 2022 for the TB12 Foundation. A graduate of Boston College in 2018, Brendan is ready to embrace the challenge that lies ahead while raising money for a great cause.

Through leading a healthy and active lifestyle, Brendan is committed to pushing his limits in achieving his lifelong goal of running the Boston Marathon for the TB12 Foundation. The Boston Marathon will be Brendan’s greatest test yet and one that he is ready to conquer.

Allie Walton

Allie was born in Plymouth, MA. After spending most of her childhood in Maine, she went on to captain the women’s soccer team at Providence College.  She is currently a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, serving as a T-6A Texan II Instructor Pilot at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida. Prior to flying for the VT-10 Wildcats, Allie was an Instructor Pilot and Mission Commander Evaluator on the E-6B Mercury out of Tinker Air Force Base, OK. When not in the cockpit, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her golden retriever, Albus.

Allie is excited to challenge her physical and mental fortitude by running the 126th Boston Marathon, her first-ever marathon. The Boston Marathon has been on her bucket list since she can remember. She is looking forward to representing the TB12 Foundation on Marathon Monday, running the electric streets from Hopkinton all the way through the Boylston Street finish line!

Thank you, again, to all of the runners on the 2022 TB12 Foundation Team! If you’re interested in donating to the TB12 Foundation in support of this year’s Boston Marathon team, you can donate online here and learn more about the TB12 Foundation here.
