Growing up in New England, sports were everything for TB12 Body Coach Matt Denning. Matt enjoyed being active and helping others do the same, so Matt pursued his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Soon after completing his degree, Matt met TB12 Co-Founder Alex Guerrero who showed him that physical therapy is only one piece of the puzzle. And that’s what makes the TB12 Method stand out. TB12’s holistic approach to health and wellness is designed to be personalized for each individual’s performance and recovery goals.
A natural-born problem solver, Matt revels in figuring out what causes his client’s pain, and what techniques are best suited to help them get rid of the pain, so they can perform their best. He prides himself on always reflecting—he is constantly trying to improve as a practitioner so that his clients get back to doing what they love faster.
His client Diane is an avid golfer. Diane is diligent about fueling and hydrating herself properly, but she couldn’t find a way to solve the hip pain she felt in her golf swing. When Matt and Diane started working together, they focused on offloading the pain in her hip through manual therapy and self-pliability. This allowed her muscles to move with less restriction. Once Diane saw how focusing on her pliability began to relieve her pain, she was all in!
While continuing to work on pliability, Matt customized a program for Diane that focused on improving her core strength, hip stability, and torque through her golf swing. Working side-by-side, they took her golf game to the next level - all while Matt helped Diane master the skills to avoid pain and injury in the future.
Each client who walks through TB12’s doors is an opportunity for our Body Coaches to apply their deep knowledge of the TB12 Method to help their clients improve their performance and live pain-free. TB12 gave Diane back her golf game and TB12 will work for you too.
