Canceled Surgeries and More Ice Time
Meet Doug. “I’m 61 years old and retired three years ago after working for 36 years. I played hockey and football in high school and hockey in college. I had to give up hockey, racquetball, and golf for about 15 years due to hip and knee problems. I was supposed to have a second hip replacement in February 2017 — I even had my surgery scheduled — and decided to visit TB12 to see if I could avoid it. After 4 months, I canceled my surgery due to the success I had at TB12, and I’m back playing all three sports again.”
“TB12 is fantastic. For me, it’s the ability to consistently do the things I want to do, try new and more challenging things, and at the same time, maintain a good baseline of pliability, strength and physical activity.”
“I moved to Colorado, but make the trip back to Massachusetts to go back to TB12. I’m back playing hockey, racquetball, and golf without worry and apprehension about possible injury. I am more physically active than I have been in years. I recently played hockey in Colorado on Evergreen Lake, the largest pond hockey lake in the US. Thanks to TB12 for getting me back on the ice!”
